Rink Manager

Ponce de le Rollin' is looking for a Roller Rink Manager with 2+ years of experience managing a recreational facility. Below is an outline of responsibilities expected for this position. The ideal candidate must have excellent people skills, be able to lead our team, and greet rink guests with a smile.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling employees

  • Managing inventory (skate rentals, concessions, merchandise)

  • Experience with POS systems and a willingness to learn the specific software we use

  • Staff management, including leadership in hiring, training, and motivating the team

  • Fostering a positive team culture and resolving scheduling conflicts

  • Overseeing the maintenance of an impeccably clean rink and concessions area
     

Customer Service:

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor

  • Ability to handle complaints calmly and effectively

  • Comfortable engaging with guests of all ages (kids, families, adults)
     

Event Planning:

  • Coordinating staff for private parties and rink events

  • Managing all party details with the guest, including payments

  • Assisting with the planning and execution of themed rink events
     

Safety and Risk Management:

  • Understanding and enforcing equipment, rink, and skater safety protocols

  • Emergency preparedness; experience in high-liability environments is a plus
     

Marketing and Community Engagement:

  • Promotional Skills: Contribute creative ideas for local and social media marketing to attract new skaters—targeting schools, clubs, families, and fundraisers

  • Community Connection: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to increase rink visibility and community loyalty
     

Technical and Maintenance Knowledge:

  • Oversee facility upkeep with a willingness to learn rink maintenance, including daily floor inspections, rental skates, sound/lighting systems, and relevant software

  • Problem-solving ability to quickly address equipment breakdowns or operational issues during busy sessions or events
